Signagelive and IAdea to Launch Digital Signage Bundle at ISE 2015 - IAdea

High-performance Media Appliance Preloaded with Easy-to-Use Software-as-a-Service

CAMBRIDGE, U.K. and IRVINE, U.S.A. (FEBRUARY 8, 2015) – Signagelive, a global supplier of digital signage management software-as-a-service, and IAdea, a leading provider of professional digital signage media appliances and digital signboards, will demonstrate a combined solution targeting retail “lift-and-learn” interactive applications. The solution will be shown at Integrated Systems Europe, 10-12 February 2015, the RAI, Amsterdam at IAdea’s booth #8-H325 and Signagelive #8-L170.

The solution takes advantage of IAdea’s new generation of simple yet high-performance media appliances designed for 24×7 digital signage operation. The device features hardware accelerated video and graphics engine, powered by a quad-core CPU that draws less than 10 watts of electricity at peak performance. The player comes with high-gain wireless antenna for wider range signal reception.

Signagelive has updated its software to enhance support for IAdea’s SMIL API. Integrators can now build interactive applications to trigger content playback via buttons and switches, delivering a rich and intuitive experience at the product shelf. The improved SMIL support enables detailed proof-of-play logs, as well as the ability to perform content playback in multiple-zone content layouts. The software is flexible to support different content types including dynamic HTML5 and full-HD video, giving users the full capability to unleash content creativity.

“We are excited to announce the enhanced functionalities with Signagelive,” says Rex Chen, Executive VP of IAdea. “Our customers have been demanding an easy-to-deploy and flexible digital signage solution. This joint effort is a big step in that direction.”

Jason Cremins, Founder and CEO of Signagelive added: “IAdea are pioneers in robust non-PC digital signage devices and a long-time partner of Signagelive. Their latest range of Android-based SMIL devices combined with our enhanced SMIL support, provide our partners and customers with a reliable and cost effective digital signage solution for both passive and interactive applications.
